Are Bedside Sleepers and In-Bed Sleepers Safe for Babies?

Are bedside sleepers or in-bed sleepers safe? Can they be used by babies? Because I think such beds are more convenient for nighttime feeding and child care.
There is currently no evidence that these beds are safer or more dangerous than cribs, so the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) concluded that it is not recommended or prohibited for parents to use these beds. If parents want to choose, they should choose products that meet the standards of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and use them according to the manufacturer's requirements. They cannot be used over the child's weight.
There are currently CPSC standards for bedside cribs. CPSC requires bedside cribs to comply with
ASTM F2906-13 "Standard Consumer Safety Specifications for Bedside Cribs" and ASTM F2194 "Standard Consumer Safety Specifications for Infant Carriers and Cradles", so if parents buy them, check whether there are CPSC and ASTM certification standards in the instructions.
If you choose to use the above two types of beds, you must also pay attention to the safety of the bed. There should be no quilts (sleeping bags are safer for babies), pillows, toys, soft items and other unsafe things on the bed.
Other basic requirements such as babies must sleep on their backs, cannot use sleeping position fixers, and cannot smoke indoors must be met.
Why not let children sleep in adult beds? In addition to the reasons that cause suffocation, crushing, quilt covering, entanglement and strangulation of small babies, adults may also use softer mattresses or air cushions, water beds, which are not suitable for babies.
Finally, various commercial mattresses are said to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide inhaled by children when they turn over and lie on their faces with the mattress blocking them. If this mattress meets the standards (CPSC and ASTM), it can be used for children, but it has not been found to reduce SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome).
