Historically, new parents crafted baby cribs from any material they could find - hollowed logs, pine, wicker and even papyrus. Thankfully, those days are gone.
Corner Posts: Corner posts should be no more than 1/16 inch in height. Anything taller can catch your child's clothing.
Nudity is best: There should be no toys, stuffed animals, pillows or blankets in the baby crib. The only bedding they need is a waterproof pad and sheets. Most parents find laundry day easier if the bedding is machine washable, and be sure to use a mild, unscented detergent to avoid irritating baby's skin. If your child seems cold, use a swaddle blanket to warm them.
Cords and Cords: Keep the baby crib away from windows, curtains, cords and anything your child can pull on. You can hang your baby phone as long as you keep it out of reach.
Mattress: Crib The mattress should be comfortable and reach every corner of the crib frame. If there are more than two fingers between the crib and the sides of the mattress, the mattress is too small.
